Chiropractic Spinal Correction

IACD-licensed manual adjustment that restores joint motion and nerve function.

Quick answer

What is Chiropractic Spinal Correction?

Chiropractic spinal correction is a precise, hand-delivered thrust or mobilisation applied to a joint that has lost normal movement, restoring its glide and reducing the nerve irritation and muscle guarding that follow. At Back2Health every adjustment is delivered by Dr. Shiv Bajaj, Delhi NCR's IACD-licensed chiropractor, after a full neurological and orthopaedic screen.

Mechanism

How it works, step by step.

  1. 01Segmental palpation identifies exactly which joint has lost motion — and which are compensating.
  2. 02A screening exam rules out contraindications before any force is applied.
  3. 03A high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust (or a low-force technique where indicated) restores joint glide.
  4. 04Mechanoreceptor firing in the joint reduces pain signalling and releases protective muscle spasm.
  5. 05The correction is immediately paired with movement retraining so it holds.

What it delivers

  • Immediate improvement in range of motion
  • Reduces the muscular guarding that keeps discs loaded
  • Drug-free relief of back pain, neck pain and headaches
  • Improves how the spine shares load, protecting the discs
  • Sixteen years and 5 lakh+ adjustments of clinical experience behind every visit

Indicated for

  • Mechanical back and neck pain
  • Facet joint syndrome and segmental restriction
  • Cervicogenic headaches and tech neck
  • SI joint and pelvic dysfunction
  • Disc conditions, alongside decompression

Not suitable when

  • Acute fracture, spinal instability or bone infection
  • Severe osteoporosis (low-force techniques used instead)
  • Progressive neurological deficit before medical review
  • Vertebral artery pathology in the neck

Applied to

Conditions treated with Chiropractic Spinal Correction.

Herniated Disc (Slipped Disc)

The most common cause of severe, radiating back and leg pain in desk-based adults. Between 80–90% of herniations resolve without surgery when intradiscal pressure is reduced early and the supporting spine is rebuilt.

Bulging Disc

The stage before a herniation. Catch it here and you avoid the far harder problem later — decompression plus posture correction can restore disc height rather than merely masking pain.

Sciatica

Sciatica is a symptom, not a diagnosis. The entire clinical value lies in identifying which structure is compressing the nerve — and treating that, not the leg.

Cervical Spondylosis & Neck Disc Disease

Delhi's most rapidly growing spinal complaint, driven by laptops, phones and 90-minute commutes. Reversible in its early stages, manageable and pain-free in its later ones.

Facet Joint Syndrome

When the disc loses height, the facets take load they were never designed for. Treating the facet without addressing the disc is why so many patients keep relapsing.

Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Dysfunction

Frequently misdiagnosed as sciatica. The SI joint refers pain into the buttock and back of the thigh, but the treatment is completely different from disc care.

Scoliosis & Postural Deformity

Honest scoliosis care: measurable goals around pain, function, cosmetic appearance and rate of progression — not promises of a straight X-ray.

Chronic Lower Back Pain

Chronic back pain is rarely one thing. Our value is diagnostic precision — finding which of the four or five candidate structures is actually driving your pain.

Answers

Questions about this therapy.

Is the cracking sound dangerous?+

No. The sound is gas releasing from the joint fluid, the same phenomenon as cracking a knuckle. It is not bone grinding, and it is not a measure of how effective the adjustment was.

Will I need adjustments forever?+

No. We work towards discharge with a self-management plan. Some patients choose periodic maintenance visits, but that is a preference, not a requirement.

Find out whether chiropractic spinal correction suits your spine.

Bring your MRI or X-ray. You'll leave the first consultation knowing exactly what is wrong, whether decompression is right for you, and how many sessions it should take.
