For patients travelling from Bangalore
Spinal decompression for patients from Bangalore
Bengaluru's desk-bound working population produces a very specific pattern: long-seated L4-L5 and L5-S1 disc loading, plus forward-head cervical strain from laptop work. This page covers what decompression genuinely does for those patterns, how to assess a local centre before you spend money on a package, and what a travelling programme with us looks like.
≈2.5 hours by air from Bengaluru to Delhi, then 30–45 minutes to the clinic
Quick answer
Can I get spinal decompression in Bangalore?
Back2Health has no Bengaluru branch — treatment is delivered at our Greater Kailash and Maharani Bagh clinics in New Delhi. Bangalore patients typically choose a condensed programme: 10–14 decompression and laser sessions across 2–3 weeks of daily visits, then a written rehabilitation protocol run at home with video reviews. The clinical protocol is the same one used for Delhi patients — computer-controlled spinal decompression, Class 4 laser, shockwave therapy, the super-inductive system and hands-on chiropractic rehabilitation — sequenced to your MRI level rather than a generic package.
Practicalities
How treatment works for Bangalore patients.
Out-of-city care only works if the schedule is designed for it — the intensive phase is condensed and the rehabilitation phase runs at home.
Your plan
- WhatsApp your MRI report and images for review before booking any travel.
- Daily sessions for 2–3 weeks replace the standard 6–8 week Delhi schedule.
- Desk and workstation correction is built in — the main relapse driver for IT professionals.
- Written home programme with video demonstrations for the Bengaluru rehab phase.
- Video follow-up reviews at week 4, week 8 and week 12 included.

Travel and stay plan
Your Bangalore-to-Delhi travel and stay plan.
Most Bengaluru patients treat this as a two-and-a-half week work-from-Delhi trip: a fixed daily treatment slot, the rest of the day free for laptop work. Here is the plan we issue once the MRI review is complete, so leave, flights and stay can be booked against real dates.
Stage 1
Before you fly · MRI review
Send your MRI report and images on WhatsApp with any physiotherapy notes or surgical opinion. You get a written session count, expected milestones and total cost within 24–48 hours — and an honest answer if we do not expect decompression to help your level.
Stage 2
Day 0 · Arrival from Bengaluru
The flight is about 2.5 hours, so a morning departure still leaves the afternoon free. Both clinics are 30–45 minutes from Terminal 3. Keep arrival day light: a full day of sitting followed by treatment is a poor combination for an irritated disc.
Stage 3
Day 1 · Examination, workstation review and first session
Examination correlated with your MRI to confirm the pain-generating level, a review of your actual desk setup (bring a photo of it), then the first decompression session at the angle set for your level.
Stage 4
Days 2–14 · Intensive phase
Daily decompression with Class 4 laser over the irritated nerve root, shockwave for chronic guarding, and super-inductive therapy for the deep stabilisers. Sessions run 45–75 minutes and are scheduled early or late so you can keep working India-hours.
Stage 5
Days 15–16 · Handover and flight home
Re-examination, written progress documentation and a filmed handover of your home programme, including the seated-posture and screen-height corrections specific to your job.
Stage 6
Weeks 4, 8 and 12 · Video reviews
Three included video follow-ups from Bengaluru where the exercise programme is progressed and desk habits are re-checked — the single biggest relapse driver in IT-sector patients.
What to bring
- MRI films and the radiology report — bring the physical films, not just phone photos.
- Any X-rays, nerve conduction studies or surgical opinions on record.
- A list of current medication and doses, including nerve-pain medication.
- A photo of your usual work desk, chair and monitor height as you actually sit at it.
- Your laptop plus a portable stand if you will be working through the stay.
- Loose clothing, flat shoes and a lumbar roll for the flight and taxi rides.
Next steps after you book
- You receive a WhatsApp confirmation with a fixed daily slot — early morning or evening on request.
- We share a shortlist of serviced apartments and hotels within 10–15 minutes of the GK-1 clinic.
- Book a flight arriving one day before your first session and keep the return flexible by 2 days.
- Pause any new gym or exercise programme the week before you fly so the examination is clean.
- Call us before travelling if pain worsens or you develop numbness, weakness or bladder changes.
Travel and stay logistics
- Flight time Bengaluru–Delhi: about 2.5 hours, with frequent direct flights all day.
- Airport to clinic: 30–45 minutes to Greater Kailash Part 1 or Maharani Bagh by taxi.
- Typical stay: 14–18 days for the intensive phase; rehabilitation continues in Bengaluru.
- Serviced apartments in GK-1, Kailash Colony and Nehru Place work well for longer stays.
- Wi-Fi-friendly stays near Nehru Place keep the trip workable if you cannot take full leave.
The protocol
What the programme actually involves.
Identical clinical protocol regardless of where you travel from — sequenced to your MRI level, not sold as a fixed package.
Step 1 · MRI review and examination
Your MRI is correlated with a physical and neurological examination to confirm which level is actually generating your pain. You receive a written session count, expected milestones and total cost.
Step 2 · Decompression and pain control
Computer-controlled spinal decompression at the angle and force for your level, with Class 4 laser over the irritated nerve root and shockwave for chronic muscular guarding.
Step 3 · Rehabilitation and relapse prevention
Super-inductive therapy for the deep stabilisers, progressive loading, and correction of the sitting, screen and lifting habits that reloaded the disc in the first place.

Most Bangalore enquiries name a level — L4-L5, L5-S1 or a cervical bulge. Each page below covers the symptom pattern, the decompression settings used for that level and the realistic timeline.
L4-L5 disc bulge treatment without surgery
The most commonly affected lumbar level. Back pain with pain down the outer calf and into the top of the foot, and how decompression is angled for L4-L5.

The lowest lumbar level, sitting directly on the S1 nerve root. Buttock and back-of-leg pain into the heel or sole, and why sitting aggravates it most.

Neck pain with radiation into the shoulder, arm or fingers, tingling and grip weakness — treated with cervical decompression at a much lower force.

Answers
Bangalore patient questions.
Does Back2Health have a clinic in Bangalore?+
No — both clinics are in South Delhi (Greater Kailash Part 1 and Maharani Bagh). We say so plainly rather than listing cities we do not serve. Bengaluru patients are treated on a condensed travelling schedule with a home rehabilitation phase.
Is spinal decompression effective for desk-job disc bulges?+
Yes, and it is one of the better-responding groups. Prolonged sitting raises intradiscal pressure for hours a day, which is exactly the load decompression reverses. The catch is that unless the sitting posture, chair height and screen position change, the bulge reloads — which is why rehabilitation and workstation correction carry equal weight in the protocol.
How do I check whether a Bangalore centre is doing real decompression?+
A genuine decompression table is computer-controlled, cycles the pull between a hold and a rest phase, and is set to a specific angle for your disc level after MRI review. If the centre cannot tell you which level they are targeting or what force is being applied, you are almost certainly on a plain traction bed.
Can the rehabilitation phase be done in Bangalore?+
Yes. The intensive decompression phase needs the equipment, but the rehabilitation phase is exercise-led. You leave with a written, progressive programme and video demonstrations, and we review progress by video call at weeks 4, 8 and 12.
When should I travel rather than continue local treatment?+
Travel makes sense if surgery has been advised and you want a documented non-surgical attempt, if 6–8 weeks of local physiotherapy has not moved your leg or arm pain, or if you have a large contained bulge on MRI. Send the MRI to +91 88005 05844 and we will tell you honestly whether we expect decompression to help.
